New Caledonia: The 1000 Colours Archipelago | SLICE TRAVEL | FULL DOC
Pierre Brouwers has filmed New Caledonia several times since the first film he made in this collection. In doing so, he was able to see how much the former French overseas territory has evolved in the space of two decades.
It really was a tremendous pleasure for him to take a new in-depth look at the island, scouring every corner once again. Encounters with the population, a way of life, a huge lagoon and amazing landscapes, to a backdrop of red and blue. A new discovery round every corner.

A good book to read is fawcett’s PILLARS OF THE EARTH.
I'm an Inuit and related to the Aleut people .. 16.000-20.000 years ago we migrated through the Bering strait land bridge .. Great to finally watch a documentary about that region 🙂
This comment went straight to our heart, thank you so much for watching!
The Aleuts living there are those who left with Russian colonists when Alaska was sold to the USA. The Aleuts settled on Kamchatka and on the Commander Islands. However the Aleuts themselves are indigenous to Alaska, not to Russia.
the earth isnt that old😊
@@tigrisi I understand that some interpretations of religious texts suggest the Earth is only a few thousand years old. However, there's a wealth of scientific evidence indicating that the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old. For instance, geological studies of rock formations and radiometric dating techniques have shown this. Additionally, archaeological evidence shows that humans crossed the Bering land bridge around 16,000 to 20,000 years ago. Many people find that science and faith can complement each other, providing a fuller understanding of our world. I'm happy to discuss this further or share some resources that explain these findings in more detail.
The way Swan lives is quite peaceful and meaningful except the slaughtering of the ox,,,,keep growing ❤
Whatdya mean, there’s Saxa salt on the table that can’t be good. It’s not good stuff.
